Settings
All configuration options for the plugin: retention, exclusions, consent integration, debug logging, and data management.
Retention period
Set how long session records are retained under Attribution → Settings → Retention. The range is 7 to 365 days. Records older than the configured period are pruned automatically. Changing the retention period does not immediately delete records; the deletion runs on the next scheduled prune. Increasing retention takes effect immediately for new sessions.
Self-referral domains
Add your own domain and any staging or preview domains to the self-referral exclusion list. Sessions arriving with a referrer from a listed domain are not classified as Referral; internal navigation does not overwrite the original attribution. This is important if your site has multiple subdomains or if you use a separate staging environment.
Path exclusions
Exclude specific URL paths from attribution recording. Useful for admin paths, API endpoints, health-check URLs, or any path that generates automated traffic you do not want in your session log. Enter paths as exact matches or prefix patterns.
Channel exclusion
Exclude one or more channels from the Dashboard and Sessions report globally. This is a reporting-level exclusion — sessions assigned to an excluded channel are still recorded, they are simply hidden from the default views. The toggle on the Dashboard for Direct/Unknown operates independently of this setting.
Consent gate
Enable the consent gate to hold attribution until a visitor grants consent through the CQI Consent plugin. Sessions before consent are marked as pending. When consent is granted, the pending session is attributed retroactively to the channel detected at first arrival.
Debug logging
Enable debug logging to record every classification decision the plugin makes, including the referrer header received, UTM parameters detected, and the channel assigned. The log is stored in the WordPress database and is accessible under Attribution > Settings. Disable logging when not actively debugging, as it increases database write volume.
Data deletion
The Danger Zone section in Settings provides options to immediately delete: the full session log, the conversion log, the debug log, or all plugin data. These actions are irreversible. The plugin also registers with the WordPress Privacy API for personal data export and erasure requests, as required by GDPR.
